Nora's Share Her Feeling.
Situated at the outskirts of Kathmandu, the Joyful Guest House offers the ideal combination of closeness to the city core but yet enough distance to be far from the dusty pollution. On the contrary, the open and friendly rooms have an excellent view on Kathmandu valley, both during day time and under the clear night sky.
Due to the vicinity of the holy site of the Swayambhu Nath Stupa, it is not surprising that the Joyful Guest House is located within a monastic institute. This gives in addition to the extremely friendly and open atmosphere the possibility to get a first hand impression on monastic life and hence, an unbelievable foundation for cultural exchange.
The orderly kept 2 room provide by far sufficient space and an attached bathroom.
For a small daily fee one can enjoy the variability of the three hot meals prepared by the monastery kitchen.
In general from my own experience, I can tell that the combination of a beautiful of a setting, adequate luxury and the extraordinary ambience of this place create the certain feeling that it is home here. If I may quote a friend of mine, upon coming here:I think I died and came to paradise.
